Spencer Nicole – 9 days new

I know things have been quiet around here…I apologize! I haven’t had time to blog about every session, but hopefully I’ll catch up soon!

This is a special blog post. Not only does it document the journey into life of a sweet baby girl, but her mommy is one of my good friends and it has been amazing to see her become a mother! Let’s go back to early December, when miss Spencer was still in mommy’s belly…

And then, after a false alarm on Christmas night, I got the call at 3am that is was time! So I put on whatever clothes I could find in my half asleep state and rushed to the hospital. Poor mama was in so much pain but was a trooper through the next twelve hours…

That last picture is daddy’s face when he saw his precious baby’s head. Spencer Nicole was born at 3:30pm on December 28th. And she was angelic!

Due to some health issues and complications from birth, she had to stay in NICU for a few days. Family and friends visited her every day, and her mom & dad anxiously awaited her homecoming. I went up a few times to snap some shots…

And finally, she went home!! She is doing great and although there may be a few more obstacles to overcome in the next few months, she is in her mommy and daddy’s arms at HOME. And that is huge. I had a blast “playing” with her at her newborn session and she was so good to me! Here are just a few of the sweet shots from that day…

This little girl is so loved! Can’t wait until she is bigger and can play with my little ones ;] I’m sure you all will be seeing this sweet face again soon…I plan on going back ASAP to do another newbie session!!
